Bioidentical hormone therapy, planned around your blood work
Low energy, poor sleep, mood swings or a fading libido can trace back to hormones. We measure first, then decide together.

Arora MD Longevity & Aesthetics in East Brunswick, NJ offers bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) for men and women, led by Dr. Mudit Arora, a board-certified internal medicine physician with fellowship training in anti-aging and metabolic medicine. Bioidentical hormones are chemically similar to the ones your body makes. Treatment starts with a medical history and blood tests, and the plan is reviewed at regular follow-ups.
Bioidentical hormone therapy (BHRT)
Who it’s for
The first conversation is about you, not a protocol. You may be a good fit if:
- Ongoing fatigue or low energy
- Trouble concentrating, or a memory that feels foggier than it used to
- Irritability, low mood or mood swings
- A lower sex drive than before
- Weight that creeps up, or broken sleep
- Hot flashes and night sweats around perimenopause or menopause
Your options
Cream, patch, injection or pellet?
BHRT can be given several ways. Each delivers hormones differently, and the right one depends on you.
Creams and gels
Applied to the skin.
Capsules
A simple daily option taken by mouth.
Patches
Worn on the skin for a steady release.
Injections
Often used for testosterone replacement.
Pellets
Placed under the skin, releasing hormones gradually over several months.
Which route suits you is decided with Dr. Arora after your labs, not before you are seen. Individual results vary.

What balanced hormones can help with
Hormones touch energy, mood, sleep, focus, sex drive and metabolism. When levels drift with age, menopause or andropause, several of those can slip at once.
Bringing levels back into balance may help with energy, mood stability, focus, libido and sleep, and can make weight easier to manage alongside healthy habits.
Before and during treatment
A few things make treatment safer and easier to fine-tune.
- Complete your lab work before your visit
- Tell us about every medication and supplement you take
- Follow the regimen as prescribed, whether cream, capsule or pellet
- Report anything unusual, and keep your follow-up visits

Questions
Bioidentical hormone therapy (BHRT): common questions
How is BHRT given?
As creams or gels on the skin, capsules by mouth, patches, injections, or pellets placed under the skin that release hormones over several months.
Who usually has BHRT?
Men and women with symptoms of hormone imbalance, most often in their 40s and older, though younger patients with significant symptoms may also be candidates.
Can BHRT help with perimenopause?
It can help manage the hot flashes, mood swings, irregular periods, poor sleep and fatigue that come with the hormonal swings before menopause.
How long will I be on BHRT?
It varies with your symptoms and goals. Some patients need a few years, others longer; regular evaluations guide the decision.
Does it help with weight?
Balanced hormones can support metabolism, which may help with weight management when combined with a healthy diet and activity.
Does insurance cover BHRT?
BHRT is elective and not typically covered, and the practice does not bill insurance. Pricing is explained up front, with payment options.
