Arora MD Longevity & Aesthetics in East Brunswick, NJ offers skin resurfacing with VIVA™ MD, a fractional radiofrequency treatment that heats deeper layers of skin to stimulate collagen and elastin while resurfacing the top layer. It is used for fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, uneven texture and pigmentation, and is suitable for all skin types, including darker skin. It can be paired with PEP Factor, a growth-factor and peptide serum, to support healing.
Skin resurfacing (VIVA MD)
Who it’s for
The first conversation is about you, not a protocol. You may be a good fit if:
- Acne scars or uneven texture
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Uneven pigmentation or dullness
- Darker skin that may not suit traditional lasers
- You want a short recovery: redness usually settles in a day or two
How it works
What to expect
Consultation and skin evaluation
We assess your skin, discuss your concerns and build a plan, including whether to add PEP Factor.
Preparation
A topical numbing cream may be applied for comfort.
Treatment
The VIVA™ MD handpiece passes over the skin, delivering fractional RF energy. Most people feel warmth and tingling. About 30 to 45 minutes.
Aftercare and follow-up
Redness and swelling usually clear within 24 to 48 hours. A series of 3 to 5 sessions, 4 to 6 weeks apart, is typical.
How VIVA™ MD works
Radiofrequency energy is delivered in tiny, separated points, so each pass treats small zones of skin and leaves the tissue between them intact, which helps it heal quickly.
Below the surface, the heat prompts new collagen and elastin for firmer skin. At the surface, controlled micro-injuries renew texture and soften scars and pigmentation.
Caring for your skin afterwards
Your skin may look pink or feel sensitive for a day or two, and improvement keeps building over the following weeks.
- Wear sunscreen and avoid direct sun
- Stay hydrated and use the products recommended to you
- Skip intense exercise and heavy sweating for a day or two
