Arora MD Longevity & Aesthetics in East Brunswick, NJ offers professional teeth whitening with the iBrite Snow White Protocol. After the teeth are cleaned, a professional-grade whitening gel is applied and activated with a specialized light, lifting stains in a single session of about an hour. Results can last six months to a year with good care.

Teeth whitening

Who it’s for

The first conversation is about you, not a protocol. You may be a good fit if:

  • Stains from coffee, tea or wine
  • Yellowing from smoking or chewing tobacco
  • Teeth that have darkened with age
  • You want a brighter smile before an event, in one visit

How it works

What to expect

  1. Consultation

We check whether whitening suits you and note the current shade. A professional cleaning beforehand may be recommended.

  2. Preparation

Teeth are cleaned of surface debris so the gel works evenly.

  3. Whitening

The gel is applied and activated with the iBrite light, in about an hour.

  4. Aftercare

Avoid staining foods and drinks for 24 to 48 hours. Touch-ups every 6 to 12 months keep the shade.

Crowns, veneers and fillings

Whitening works on natural enamel. Crowns, veneers and fillings don’t lighten the same way, so if you have dental work, talk to us first about getting an even result.

After whitening

Some sensitivity is normal for a day or two.

  • Skip coffee, tea, wine and berries for 24 to 48 hours
  • Brush and floss as usual to keep the result
  • Plan a touch-up every 6 to 12 months

Questions

Teeth whitening: common questions

Is professional teeth whitening safe?

Yes, when done by a trained provider. The treatment is monitored to protect your enamel and gums.

How long does teeth whitening last?

With good care, six months to a year. Touch-ups and regular oral hygiene help maintain it.

Will my teeth be sensitive?

Some people have mild sensitivity that usually fades within 24 to 48 hours. The iBrite system is designed to keep it low.

Can I whiten if I have crowns or veneers?

Whitening works on natural enamel, not dental work. Talk to our team about how to get an even appearance.

How many shades lighter will my teeth get?

It depends on your starting shade; most patients see a noticeable change of several shades after one session.
